collections:

if i were to characterize myself using just one word - it wouldn’t be ‘artist’ or ‘writer’ - it would be ‘collector’
i plan on writing on collecting in much more detail so i’ll just make a brief introduction here —

the drawers and arrangements of the collections change frequently and none of the displays is the same as it was in these photographs — all the cabinets are due for a new set of photographs

the first set of images are pictures of some of the drawers in a large haberdashery cabinet — this is a set of photos made several years ago

the second set are of drawers from a printers’ cabinet — there are photos from two different times — some are of the same drawer with a different arrangement and some are different drawers — the set with the gray background was an early arrangement — the set with the wood background is more recent —

the third set is [a small] part of my collection of hundreds of objects that i call my electro-mechanical collection — most of the objects shown individually are deconstructed hard drives — some are various stages of the deconstruction of a track ball — this display has been replaced by a display of stones from my rocks and minerals collection —
