the possibility of setting the book horizontally to make a page that more meets my spatial sense —
but I’ve never written that way so I’d have to try it
lines such as the above that have no sense of delineation (as I write them) but could line break at any point —
the sentence or unit of discourse
lines that attempt to convey a meaning — what often happens as I write is that such lines start to take on spatial arrangements
and the ‘meaning’ gets lost — (put the passage through different arrangements) —
(the desire to get rid of punctuation except the parenthesis but ((my tendency to use the dash)) —
the inverted commas may be useful)
the idea of the essay or short text — all of my texts are short —
and thus should lend themselves to the essay but I have a hard time divorcing myself from the entire context of my writing —
I have a hard time thinking in terms of a short unified piece that could be inserted into a magazine

the use of line drawings with words carried out over time
start with a page — mark it off into squares or sections and gradually remove shift change etc —

these pages I keep writing — books within books — can it be carried out —
to attempt to summarize leads to the entire book
