VORTEXT
decided to continue work on organizing texts
have to reach a decision on the organization of VORTEXT or 'the book' and then get all the other texts out

'the book' was written as a text and then added to in layers — something is needed to reflect that organization — the question is whether to pull the additions aside or put them in line — indentations etc
the idea of a sequence of paragraph numbers each with a data base entry — the database could be organized chronologically to give a different reading and interact with the notebooks — use the same type all through — important decision

work right in PageMaker — move all the current inserts to the end — will take a lot of work getting the numbers in sequence — possibly the larger numbering is better — but the data base — SEQUENCE #/DATE/ CHRON ORDER/COMMENT — possibly I’ll have to build the data base on paper if I’m working in 2 programs — or I could keep using the word processor and then move the numbers in PageMaker

the way I have the file now does have some interesting effects
the book as a series of numbers — layers made of layers — this could be done based on the data base — using a straight sequence of numbers instead of the layer numbers

do I want the inserts directly in line — basically do I want the arrangement I ended up with on the first run — where the inserts became part of the text (what to do with stuff I left out) — I don’t think so — each piece will have a number and any insert inside a paragraph will leave the paragraph intact (repeat the number) so the initial task is to take the original material and number the paragraphs — (take the inserts and put them aside for now with a special number SN...) — in the original do I want to indicate each paragraph or just larger blocks — I decide on blocks then change

try to explain this

vortext -
write on texts when they are first mentioned or make a note to where they are meta texted

an index will be useful
