did a lot of work on the portfolio most of the art works are documented — the black and whites are beyond hope — I don’t even think I can date the later ones

some sort of encyclopedia — the notebooks are reformatted through 1988 — 1992 is also finished and 1993 is self processing — the last few years should be easy — nearly everything is in place — just need the format changes of moving the dates and the notes — there is still the problem of notes and inserts

some sort of encyclopedia — thinking of cloning and how there is little likelihood that it will be done — what is more likely is genetic recombinations and combinations — building persons — a person’s defects are already known — there is probably no one that society would want reproduced and I don’t think that wealth would buy it — possibly memories etc could be stored — images etc — history through the eyes of the beholders — (but would it be mediated by television etc or whatever media was in use) — 3Janes wandering museums of junk — corridors of stored up time in some matrix of silicon

something on Gibson — the old fashioned narrative that bothers me more the more that I think about it — the idea of the hero etc — someone making a certain action — someone being focused on etc

some sort of encyclopedia — entries by the alphabet or by any arbitrary sequence — a hyper book — movement through corridors of text — tributaries — something of time and space — lanes alleys — back streets of Albany etc — thinking of a bus etc — how will I get to Providence

started work on 1989 notes — was going to start volume 22 but I need to decide what to do with the layer of inserts that I made — it doesn’t seem best to pull them out — possibly I’ll just remove the second level of inserts — don’t really know what the experiment or text work I was doing was if it was something — all the experiments that I’ve forgotten etc
