trying to decide what to do with the notes etc — should I go through them and work in the chronology text and try to get the ideas organized — lines of text — all the side texts — what do I want to do — thinking of a spatial text — a rendering of the notes — time and space — putting everything into one text and then pulling out parts etc
I started to read through the 1990 notes making side entries in the RRR print — but that becomes rather confusing — possibly I should work in the actual note printing but that would require another entire print — or perhaps there should be no definitive print — what is the meaning of all this — what layers of time — why is one time important — one layer — archaeologies — sifting through layers — I picture digs in which everything is marked out and photographed etc — is there any reason to have a printing or a set of files that can be said to be my notes as they exist on such and such a day / date — 2/16/93 — now — a set of notes without markings etc
step aside and look at the texts that I have — layers of notes
notes are for working — I should work right in the margins of this printing
start working on a text that will use the notes — decide what side texts that I want as I go along — use a set of margin entries and then go to the chronology and list them so that I have something that I can go through to find different types of notes — take the old printing and put it away somewhere
