finished Krauss

a lot of work on text today — a lot more to do — the longer pieces I have to decide what to do with — they take up so much space
get all the novels out of the notes to make one novel — also the experiments different texts — take what is left as the first Hypertext — the real hypertext will be the entire system

a lack of desire to really do visual art — a total involvement with text production — get this stuff ‘out’

operation terminate identities — TI

change of type style etc for formal reasons — I made a lot of text changes today —— spontaneously

Cadigan’s use of types to sort characters — I considered using different types for different novels but may just use them rather randomly

OR
I could go back to the trilogy idea — or a 4 text idea — 3 time pieces and a novel — I still like the idea of producing several books at once — the encyclopedia could be divided alphabetically or by reference etc
this would solve the space problem — I could choose any for a first ‘release’ — or try to get them published
time could be randomized
I want to mix the voyeur etc lines — possibly the 4th could be a kind of synthesis — a time line a bibliography etc

frustration with the program — but all in all it’s good
the inability to line up text
add this to ideas on hypertext — the different ways that texts are made and the assumptions that are used in the programs — the name “Story” space is indicative — I don’t really like the idea of stories
also the fact that it seems so academic — like it was designed to use with a teacher

mark out spaces that I won’t include here so that they can be gathered and used in the larger text that I plan
