sounds — sounds in sequence either rhythmically or not — using a long low sound as a background drone — is the idea of looping a sound over itself at different frequencies practical or useful? — extending a sound to its longest audible form
400 —> 200 —> 100 —> 50 {approx sign} 4 octaves down —>
60 min — 30 min — 15 min — 7.5 min<—
would need about 7 1/2 minutes of audio to get 60 minutes ? — is this correct math

totally at a loss as to what to do musically — obviously what I have to do is actually work with some sounds — but I can’t seem to get a starting point — I should just use Korg samples or something — rhythm or overall composition ? — need to systematically work with both

envelopes
data sequences pulses
sound sequence waveforms tables
phase shifts

macro and micro scaling — sound phase shifts and phase shifts as rhythm device as used in Glass and Reich
moving the sound between speakers by means of an envelope
using a waveform or something as an envelope that is used at different scales for oscillators or for panning etc
using the same envelope for whatever parameters can be controlled by it
gradually changing an envelope shape by changing line shapes

using set points or a set number scale and then moving the segments to end at different points — move different segments in sequence or move more than one at the same time

use length parameters and change them — attack length sustain length release length
keep total time the same but vary the lengths
————
amplitude changes — complex envelopes

other shapes might be better for panning

i thought about deleting these pages but decided to leave them —
they fit into the idea of abstract word lists and structures
