jot down some thoughts on sculpture from looking at Caro book — the idea of the base — the table pieces are a brilliant idea — but something on brilliant ideas that may have come from elsewhere etc — how many others used such an idea — where did Caro get it

but these are nice pieces — I’m thinking of the sculpture bases that I don’t have any more use for — thinking about sculpture in the round — the large piece in the middle of the floor etc — Don Osborn’s pieces that he wanted on bases and I wanted on the floor

thinking of small scale and pieces that can go on a shelf rather than on a base
table pieces in the sense that they can go on a coffee table and don’t need a heavy table designed for them

my recent ideas for pieces that store in boxes etc

time to get to work and get some organizing done — work in cellar - a nice day —

sculpture in the round or whatever — the heater piece that I can’t bring myself to take apart even though it’s not very space efficient and probably not that good as is
but I like the elements - so I should take it apart and just keep the heater pieces and the wood and try to do something else with the pieces

threw away a plywood relief pieces - a triangle piece with 4 triangles cut out
was going to photo it but decided not to bother
