a tour of a couple of galleries gets me into an art making mode — I should work out the Spadderdock piece — take the elements and try to arrange them — keeping the shelf / stand aspect in mind — I’ll put aside the modular idea in pikes like that although I could always consider the idea of several of them going together in some arrangement — I don’t have to think in terms of equal modules — although for some small things — I should — like the bearing pieces but designed for a grid — a really beautiful piece on slate — (Luminous Codes — Law — part of the <?> and it loses a lot in black and white)

also the idea of a small work printed from the computer combining graphics and writing — writing on the page (in the page) instead of the margins — the margins are overused now — (a piece of writing I saw recently that uses the term marginal with no justification at all — I like ‘see through’ pages also — something about an introduction — to an unknown future — just to get something down — and out — any image any words — fragments of any time

a notebook of words — I already have a notebook for my next set of notes

moods — transitions moods and transitions yellow headed blackbirds wild flowers

digitize some photos and overlay them with text — I like the cover of Luminous Codes catalog — the clear papers used in the Blast boxes — the Cage box and some other stuff — Gellis print — some work that is a stack of images — possibly taking larger pages and cutting them up — some large arrangement of a booklet that is then cut up into sequences — CD inserts etc — I like that size format —jewel cases could be used to hold them — I’m not sure about the plastic — but — it may be a good method also clips or something — folded boxes etc — hard to tell what is ecologically sound

a series of works using machine parts and rusty metal etc — one or 2 pieces for backing — like the bearing pieces — maybe smaller 8 x 8 — draw out different grid possibilities

a series of circuit boards etc — maybe redo the old layer pieces in modular form
