NYTimes article
an artful clutter

walls lined with prints from a bird portfolio and pages from a blank ledger
do things like ledgers need to be old to be interesting
all the notebooks that i got rid of or thought of getting rid of

part of book plate series

i should start working through that idea
start dividing book pages into book plates and collage material

what is kept whole
what is cut up
what is used for words
what is used for images

the idea of using new things as people use old things
ideas i can’t get rid of like the module ideas

the large piece made of roof tins
a large piece made of anything in modular form

framed or unframed

work through my notebooks and my ideas
keep shifting things to different contexts
notebook pages as book plates also

completed the travel notebook in houston

this is a unique notebook
there are several of the little notebooks
a lab manual i wrote in etc

piles and piles of papers

where should they be kept
(somewhere in one of our house books is a wall made out of file cabinets and lockers)
build a stack of file cabinets in the garage

but where is the space

a stack using paper files along with the card files

10/09-31
where is the space
what is the space
this and 10/7 were written in short lines - i consolidated a lot of 10/7 but left most of this
illustrate this can be looked at from any distance and always look different
