last night i couldn’t find the insurance papers for the roof — the terrible feeling of having put a paper down somewhere when i know i need to put things in specific places

i looked everywhere i could think of — went through the stack of newspapers one by one — eventually found the paper right where it was supposed to be in a group of papers i had carefully looked at 3 or 4 times

made me decide that the newspapers need to be discarded routinely — if i don’t write something on the day of the paper or the next day - just get rid of it

thinking this morning (looking at center for visual music site) that i want to do art more than i want to do politics — that the political blog is something aside of the main subject which should be art

i need to get organized

yesterday we went out and bought another large antique piece of furniture
a lot of paper size drawers that i can start putting papers in
a lot of things will need to be moved but we’ll have a lot more book shelf space

moving toward my museum idea — using the new drawers for papers
start by using it to sort papers — eventually make it mostly art papers — scan and discard or put in storage the house papers

i’m still scattering notes all over the place and not getting organized
