what would be the analogy to envelope in video
i like slowly changing visuals

maybe shifting color
maybe scale or size
(the number of cells)
rotation — panning movement
filters — gradual shift of filter — filter envelopes
amplitude envelopes — filter envelopes

the idea of modulation
one image modulating another

probably not a very viable analogy
the form of audio envelopes would not be very appropriate for video
quick movement in of color then gradual fade out etc
