instead of post … — post something — post modern — use pre — the pre something era —
pre something else — that way it never changes — we’re always pre something else
our houses house I - IV
varieties of treatment —
house 1 needed to be remodeled because of its age
house 3 didn’t but we decided to reconfigure — although we didn’t reconfigure very much — so what changed — mostly surfaces
—
botticelli face — a frozen face is both beautiful and ugly
first day of weekend with kim gone to houston
work with objects and loosen up
ART
took apart logitech mice
discarded the plastic parts — they’re interesting but i’m not going to need material for assemblages
and that’s all they’re good for — i suppose one could collect plastic things like that but i’m not interested
6 mice disassembled — 5 the same — (i keep pulling more of these out of the bin
smoke detector not designed to come apart — took a little force
coffee maker i had kept whole because it worked as a clock and i thought it looked interesting as a clock —
it doesn’t work now — decided to keep the heating element for now
turntable base — discarded large plastic kept previously —
kept the art and a couple of small plastic parts — one of which was pretty greasy
cable connector — kept plastic components
second connector — didn’t come apart — difficult decision — decided not to keep it
