watched more brakhage last night
thinking (again) how each frame is a photograph (or painting) and i get the idea of why bother with painting or photography —
just use the video camera
but photography and painting are fun (but difficult) ways of getting a frame

AM — still dark — a cool morning and i don’t want to disturb kim getting out long pants and long sleeves — so i’ll wait until she’s up before taking the dogs out
