getting started
reading Sorrentino
finished Imaginative Qualities of Actual Things
also read Steelwork & the sky Changes recently
started Splendide-Hôtel

centering
Sorrentino is not a good choice for centering — cf Roubaud
reading in publication order —
i don’t have all of his things

the pathology of wanting to complete things — all the writing of Sorrentino etc
i’m not into buying books but the sorrentino made me think of William Carlos Williams & Robert Creely — i don’t have anything by Creeley — I thought i had something by Williams — I have a collection of Stevens

books piling up again — got out Rimbaud (from Splendide-Hôtel)
got out Pound a couple of days ago — also from Sorrentino

marked out a couple of things in Imaginative … could have quoted a lot more but they would be too long — the humor got repetitive — the book a little too long
(i already had quotes from Imaginative … i don’t have a field to indicate time of reading — 2nd readings etc) (i only found one mark — i think there was at least one more) (i could read a book like this over and over and always find something new that i like)

today would be a good day for object sorting but i looked at a couple of boxes and didn’t feel like doing that — don’t feel like doing anything now

restless undirected energy — pace —

i love mouths that turn downward — the outer edges lower than the center of the lower lip <elkann>
