galveston

as usual was very nervous about leaving home but felt better when we left — now i’m feeling better about the northeast vacation

waves and wind today with a storm approaching —

very little on the beach yesterday but i found some interesting things — some nice colors in a couple of shell fragments

sounds — kim’s car is noisy but musical — use the video camera to record the sounds — aim it out the window and record an entire tape —

shells — a couple of very flat spirals — arrangements — by type — arranging and rearranging — the same objects in different arrangements — shapes — types — colors etc

i have so many fragments — it’s difficult to get them out of the jars— maybe i could fill the printer drawers with them — a lot of the things that are in the drawers aren’t fragile (making assemblages to get rid of things — (but i’d have to sell them) — cornell’s objects vs mine — the total difference — the idea of different uses — digital images instead of boxes — or boxes as arrangements — arrays — cells — the psychological aspects — cornell rauschenberg arman nevelson (there have been a lot of geometric things on pinterest — i brought a notebook but have no urge to draw))
