“neither painting nor sculpture”
what is an object — is a fragment of an object an object — is a fragment of a painting a painting —

destroying works —
or making them better —
what’s wrong with destroying art
why aren’t pieces of lead splashes in a box not a work of art —
if someone had scraped the lead off the wall and put the pieces into a specially designed box
<or any box (5/11/19)> would it be a work of art — if so — whose work —
is the art the splashing or the lead on the wall and floor —
does it matter which wall or floor —
——
is art history / theory better served by the removal of ’tilted arc’
or would it have been better (be better) with the art in place —
personally i think it was an ugly misplaced sculpture that would have been better in a landscape —
——
aren’t almost all sculpture & art ‘site-specific’ —
cleopatra’s needle in central park — the gilded horse at the south end of the park <central> —

‘andre’s failure to see …”
andre doesn’t fail to see — he saw correctly (my opinion)
——
how to anti art —
make art & not sell it — document ?
make art & sell documents —
make art and destroy it — with or without documentation —
not make art — but write ideas —
avoid making art
make absurdist gestures — the [anti]museum of objects —
art and not art together (theorize the value of art)
the value of things
the cost of things — my most valuable thing is the sandy gellis work
(ideas for a framing —) the value of our art collection is not
directly related to the cost but probably close —
