this is not a bad idea — i was looking at the cube book at that time — making block type works —

“keep the diagonal arrangement — long lines <drawing> — overlap a diagonal & a rectangular grid”

did i have this idea so long ago — the same idea came back recently — it has something to do with eisenman — one grid on top of another —
