DERRIDA — i don’t take my life — i give myself death — give the gift of death —
if one takes one's life one doesn’t have it — there is no one to ‘take’ it — to have it —
suicide — one takes one's death — one should say “[s]he took his/her death [early]” not “[s]he took her/his life”
life can’t be given or taken — one should be able to accept it or not —

writing / art — should be a way of dying — not living — should be seen / felt as dying not living —

i don’t like doing things— the things i do usually disapoint me —

ART — try to escape into art or writing — everything as an escape from something else —
make trays for objects — measure the paper cabinet —
get paint to paint boxes — (? paint with different colors or designs — scan the paintings)

COLLAGE —start making collages as i sort papers — use scrap books — (archival or not) —
ASSEMBLAGE — make some frames — assemble as i sort objects —

B&W drawings take a lot of time but are relaxing — put objects on some of them —?
? rescue some of the old ones — some of the larger ones are impossible to display —

GLASS— get the lab glass out of the attic (what can the attic be used for — (wood pieces — completed work)) —
fill drawers with objects — rotate the objects while getting ideas (but i’m getting afraid of using the saws — (am i too old [for this]))
