S & B arrive tomorrow and the weather looks bad — this was to be my last chance to go on a rock hunting trip — things may be too wet —

i should have sketch books available but i’m still not set up to do art

i feel like painting — or drawing lines —
what is there to do at 6AM on a rainy day — i could try to do something in the garage
i can drink coffee & meditate

prepare to start over after S&B leave — try to work through my ideas — 5 year plan — where am i —
finished the july 83 notes yesterday — there are a lot of notes that just need editing by K & then can be put on site —
try to make timelines for projects —

outline some large scale projects — the book of collections — the pinterest project — the large metal rack — a large lab glass piece — (? get some new sketch books or work with loose leaf — maybe the scrap books would be useful— (try to use as much paper as possible))
project — fill all the boxes vials etc — think of a way to label vials -
lists & databases — books — digital and physical —
(what can be done in a few years) — make a calendar — nearly a month of my year is gone — reassess —
the glass work — i’ve been thinking about the top of the stairs alcove — but things should be movable — turnable — visible from different directions (?wheels) —

for some [unknown] reason (or maybe no reason at all) sontag’s arrangement of books by date comes to mind — alphabetical is arbitrary but makes things easier to find — arbitrary systems — numbers & letters — use databases and lists — i was thinking of vials and bottles and some numbering systems — make nicely designed lists & print them — a book —

dogs not eating much — puts me into a nervous depression — the weather turns to shit before we have company — i should never look forward to things — i have all sorts of ideas — then it all looks like shit —

my collections aren’t art material — they’re garbage
