yesterday another bad day — break down

KOTO MUSIC — i’m liking more and more — i’ll buy some & concentrate on that for a while —

how can i play music while working on art without bothering kim —
how can i work on art — i can’t make decisions

ready to go downtown for brudniak talk — nervous — first time i’ve been out in ages

ASSEMBLAGE — from brudniak and my old ideas —

using a single upright for a support
using boxes

my new[er] idea of using picture frames —

took apart the ugly board from the power pc computer — it made a lot of good fragments and not much garbage

brudniak show — this morning i read 1/13/14 in my notes which relates to the craftsmanship of brudniak things — they are amazingly well done —
how much does this count — they are also great artworks and visually striking — but i don’t do craftsmanship —
ideas of meaning etc — it’s not meaning i’m looking for — associations (the large glass belongs in any thinking about these things)
the beautiful engravings and symbols on some of brudniak’s work

ASSEMBLAGE — i put a few things into a picture frame grid and [again] came to the conclusion that what i want to do would be better done photographically — the frames make good photo backgrounds — i could put different papers or painted cardboards into the frames and use them to photograph — that would give the straight lines that i want and a sense of scale —
