or the writer — a question for the writer — should these remarks starting at “are these ...” have been on the right page —
the idea of doing away with punctuation
the idea of different lines of development
<the idea of carrying the ideas as part of the book instead of as separate essays — no fiction — non-fiction>
use of numbers to point to sequences - (Cortázar)
ideas over and over —
notes of reverberation —
lines that stand out or aside —
use of different types —
(description of type etc in the back —
(at the back) of one of the books I’m reading) — (Cage)
(Butor) —
cyclings
p3618 organization
again
the idea of (get rid of all the ideas)
<an idea to repeat all of the above without those words>
I (do I want to eliminate the I — (is this a first person narrative))
possibilities of organization — (2 out of infinity)
1 a parallel type of organization that takes
some of these long passages that I put together at times and follow them sequentially
2 to take one of the beginnings — this one for example (p3611) —
and then follow a linear development putting in other notes when appropriate
in a book the pages stack but there is a forced linearity — if one tries to read a book at random certain pages get opened to more often and certain pages may never be read (an interesting possibility) — I’m fascinated by ideas on the structure of the book
Butor Saporta
the possible use of the concept is hampered by different hardware and software — painting is more universal
<housework etc>
I like the idea of loose pages that could be structured into different configurations but that would require a stiffer bond — (I have to shit — body mind etc — everything into the book — not everything — choices have to be made — as I was writing the end of the last page
