if one poses the problem of writing a book about the writing of the book — how do the notes toward that book fit into the structure of that book

are they described in it or are they part of it

Bachelard on wardrobes p38 is almost laughable — the possibility of using such ideas in a novel — putting things in a wardrobe

dreams of marbles recollected — gives me the idea for a box of marbles each in its own bin —
the way objects take on different resonances when isolated

the idea of the book as container — an aspect of my ideas on typography etc is that the book is almost always the same when opened — uniform type on a page — I think the page should carry more impact — analogous to a medieval manuscript — the general idea of cottage industries and the computer giving a new life to individual products
