another structural device (p3622) — is the use of the temporal puncture method I’ve used much in the past — to take a page written previously and add new material by insertion breaking the structure and (idea — what is the word) — the structure and semantic continuity and then repeating the operation over and over

/the author takes a shower
puts in his contacts
makes a phone call
makes a new pot of coffee
loads the dishwasher
prepares a bowl of cereal
writes these lines/

<the author checks the time does some laundry (K gets home) has a glass of soda loads the dishwasher>

the author does a few more domestic tasks (after eating his cereal) —

<3/3/18 the 'writer' ('author' is no longer acceptable) gets up to do some laundry>


pours another coffee and decides where he will go now and if he’ll continue writing — at about 10 AM he is seated at the kitchen table — the author opts for the living room - the 4th ‘locale’ of his writing today and feels his drive for writing is slacking — he has shot his wad
vague feelings associated with tiredness — the rain has stopped
a hint of sun — sound of cars and dishwasher
flip through “Interior Design” — glance at The Western Lands — <some of>the most beautiful prose ever written — Burroughs born the same year as my father and Durrell
