what is the task — why am I writing this on paper instead of in the word processor

it seems to need a 2 part organization — a left right page with the text itself on the left — notes etc on the right — and then some more in appendix — variations etc — possibly a large section of pages from different versions

make a decision and go for it
the notes will be numbered in spatial order — I’ll begin with the version called VB — but I’ll make a new preface explanation — without keeping all of the versions

I think I’ll print the stuff as it is now — except that I’ll make one more scan to get the 900 and 1000 layers in Geneva font — with numbers — left as they are now

but that would mean numbers would overlap with the new set — put an asterisk after the number — will work in PageMaker

what is choice — what is necessity — how do they relate to a work like this this is not really what I want to write now
