possibly something of a semi—grid that could be changed by moving the cross pieces
possibly 3 or 4 uprights with a another piece inside that would hold the cross members or the plexiglass boxes
some use of slides or something that would give a color effect and also be of the area or whatever
possibly paper things like a map or something

straight upright might be too much
possibly the entire thing could be integrated with a shelf that would run around the chimney and into the alcove — picture alcove — some way of making it so that there would be something on the floor and something on the wall and a shelf

something very fantastic about these things — I couldn’t make things like this and wouldn’t want to but the idea of making little elaborate pieces has been on my mind for a long time

almost time for work and I don’t want to go — started to work in the attic but did nothing except decide to make a couple of shelves for magazines
