all the things not done —

would like to do some writing on art — an aside or whatever to take an anti—art position but how does one take that position outside of art — this is somewhat different from Derrida’s position in philosophy because perhaps of the nature of philosophy — but they may really be the same (perhaps) due to the nature of art (as philosophy)

note a notebook that I bought (did I do that) with old circuit boards as a cover (the idea of getting different types of notebooks and using them for different things (all the different notebooks I’ve used — the museum ones that I should have bought and never did)) — I’m thinking of using this one to try to outline some sort of musical work or works — doing it very carefully (although the pages could probably be removed without damaging the overall notebook if I really screwed some up) — some idea I’ve had to separate out 12 books and then just deal with them while I work on a large musical composition over whatever time it takes to complete

outline all the things that I do for sampling etc — a loose leaf note set is a lot better for this because the sample listings could be changed etc but I want to use the hard binding as a coherent set of notes — not a ‘score’ but a finished set of notes toward a score — the entire thing (as writing) would be working notes — the bound notebook and then some sort of final score

there is a lot of peripheral work to do — I can’t get myself to just get down to solving specific problems — <i> need to work a little with each program and piece of equipment and detail what I’m doing and how to do it
