first notes of new year cycle
need to decide on a notebook format — a project for the day to keep my mind off too much thinking about work — the last notebook just petered out during the day a cycle of transition — it should be interesting to type those notes in — I lost track already of the work that I was doing getting the notes organized — need to keep myself moving on that type of stuff so that I don’t keep losing track — a set of notes to notes so that I can be systematic about what has been done and what needs to be done

I bought some ink jet paper yesterday but I should have just got photocopy paper because that would fit in better with a notebook print
the back up system is completely disorganized now

working on copying notes from 1994 — this time of year — a trip to New York — this is the work that I should be doing — being a writer — but it is really not possible — how can I narrow things down — there can be no success (that is income) for me in writing — but working I have to eliminate some of my art — really the music should probably go but that is the most interesting for me — the writing is some sort of drive

I need to make some phone calls pretty soon to get my job hunt started — I should start listing the places that I want to call in these notes so that I can take notes as I go along
I should have some breakfast

take each item and break it down — start randomly and then systematize

ART organize some sort of portfolio — decide whether art is viable or not or just skip it and do it for myself later — commercialization — galleries or self promotion — look at all possible galleries — go to gallery at Arboretum — start working on new art — go through notebooks and make sketches etc
