all the corrugated metal — galvanized steel and tin — it all seems to fit here
turtles and water snakes
banging in the distance
swamp smell — an overcast day — drum and flute sounds —
the dominant sound of the cardinals coming in and out of focus
I stop to record an interesting pounding — it stops — I put the headphones back on and it starts again —
track 5 and some <?> tapes of the porch ≈ 14
a really nice spacey ambient CD — thinking of what video would go with this type of music —
a random sweep of the porch — hand held sweep — going different places just to get some video —
I need to copy and reuse these tapes — there’s no sense in adding piles of more material when I already have so many tapes —
making a hundred or so different videos — just taping over the tapes — interior world of ambient music —
I suppose this is what Virilio and a lot of philosophers I like to read
but totally disagree with are arguing against — a future that I like
an OK mood — even the disturbances are OK — a great CD — CD 2 of 3 CD set —
Ayers and Storey I think — a good combination — just sitting on a porch —
one of my favorite things to do
a couple of pieces of metal in the yard to pick up and make some sort of art out of — try to find some wood to go with them — will I ever get around to making art
seemed I was just settling in and I upset things — but I don’t want to be at a job that I don’t like
shifts in the speed at which time passes
14:30
the time will speed up now and we’ll be back in Austin soon — more memories
I’ll take a piece of fire wood for art material — something like an early DiSuvero — a metal brace and a wood piece — maybe two pieces of wood maybe carve or polish one — a part of one
Ayers & Grief — disk 3 — 'Oedipus Brain Foil'
coils spirals — jetties — piers
track 7 of CD3 juxtaposed with sound of tour boat — not sure if the camera caught the sound
great music for spacing out
a lizard climbing the camp next door — a woodpecker
