I’m fascinated by the layers of changing text — of versions that change other versions — the opening of the text to infinite possible changes — for example, the reference [cf Barth] could be changed to a reference to the story that I’m thinking of or the <<book>> and then later added to or changed to references to other parts of my own text which would reference the Barth (in a hypertext the references could be to outside texts etc {I need to work on the idea of hypertext and how references could be layered into a text — what a truly labyrinthian structure that would be})

a proliferation of marks [cf Derrida]

note on watching Anger films — 'Inauguration of the Pleasuredom', 'Fireworks', 'Eaux d’artifice', 'Rabbit Moon' — loved the song to 'rabbit moon' — looked at book on Tivoli gardens and Hadrian’s Villa — one could spend forever in those places — thinking of just video taping etc
leading to ideas on wealth etc
some sci fi ideas of having very few people or having artificial intelligences that would own such beautiful things — or with AI it could be just a matter of human caretakers and a series of video cameras or whatever
pleasure probes

pleasure domes

artificial paradises — human presence and isolation — one needs both — I like going to crowded places if I like the crowd (the look of the crowd) — but I also like going to places in complete isolation the idea of privilege etc — of having ones own string quartet or whatever the idea of having an electronic composer or private video crew or something
