slept late —

looking at GLUTS— large works that require large spece — which i don’t have — (an austin artist whose name i can’t remember — small ‘tight’ pieces using found metal) —
to assemble & photograph? — <i> would still need to bring the material home —
various layouts and assemblages of the things i have — photograph —
the same element in different works — assemblage doesn’t need to be permanently assembled —
rauschenberg had an amazing sense for arranging things (intuitive) a sense of scale —

<drawing on p85>

still trying to work through an idea using 2x4s etc
thought of painting them etc —

it will be interesting going through my things and seeing what i didn’t discard —
carved wood — another thing to come to grips with —

music and sound design —

collecting wood grains —
collecting — organizing and arranging
the fact that i don’t know the source of most of my things —

music equipment — i can’t really think of dealing with that — unless i do video — which may or may not be where i want to go — i have the video camera and don’t use it — still images — sequences of stills — video has some motion or something —
charge up the battery —
there is something that keeps me from getting rid of the music etc — some feeling that i might quickly tire of objects & want to do an extended video piece —

art in motion
