clear the clutter - get rid of some things

things keep piling up and i don’t know what i want to do
all my notes all over the place

what are they all for

i need to start answering pretty soon
do i spend the rest of my life just going back over the notes
what is going to happen to all of these notes

electronic and physical

the days are getting shorter — still dark at 7

the dogs need to go out today
the hard drives haven’t been cleaned up or worked on for too long

i don’t know where my video files are
i don’t know what my collections are for
i don’t know whether i want to work with digital media or physical art — or both
i don’t know if i want to write —

art
use of hinges etc

works that fold out — unhinge
works that are totally different when closed than when open

maybe a painting or something when closed and an assemblage work when open

old ideas about using shelves and drawers
a cabinet type of work would be against the wall and still rest on the floor
objects could be arranged and looked at in different ways
different objects put on the shelf/shelves in different ways

but i don’t like finish carpentry or cabinet work and a lot of what i think about would require that — i never seem to like the rough works that i make — i always want to make them ‘nicer’ looking — refined — but that goes contrary to what i think
