thinking about art and things — <i> can’t seem to justify what i want to do
looking at Caro book i think of large sculptures — things that look different from different sides
shelves and planes etc
some tall square or rectangular structure to hold various items
even painting could be part of the ‘sculpture’

but then i wonder why bother

it’s the objects that i like — i think

does the arrangement matter
does the arrangement need to be physically bound

(aside on nonobjective video — difficult to watch all the way through)

there is no one that i want to show the art object to
i’m not interested in selling art

(although it would be good to get some income from it — and there is some desire to ‘be known’)

i think of making things and digitizing them and presenting them on the web
then i think of trying to market the things “support the artist - buy some art”
but then i think that the best delivery method would be CD or DVD

so what about the ideas for physical art

is it just too difficult to make the pieces
should i just scale down and make smaller pieces

but i like the large objects
but who else are they for

how do i enjoy them

think about the differences between looking at an artwork and looking at a screen
but i / we hardly ever look at our art collection — they sit on the wall and are not noted
would someone else want something i made sitting on their wall

is there too much art or not enough

all of this thinking and no action — i don’t go out and make an art work — is it because i have too many things to do

or do i have to many things to do so as not to go out and make art

is there too much art or not enough
there is too much art & not enough

all of this thinking and no action
