i’ve never liked the idea of group meditation etc — sitting in a circle pounding a drum or making humming sounds

these primitive things seem to me to be at the root of violence & hatred etc and not opposed to them — no matter what the participants think

i think that detachment from the group and from ritual is a positive advance

but i am fascinated by family life — extended families or artificial families — not communes but sharing a house and life

cleaning up the garage and trying not to get discouraged
one thing at a time until everything is in its place and every place is full — and hope it doesn’t hail in the meantime
