i thought i had decided about the computer but now i’m not sure again
do i want a fancy new machine
will i have a new fancy machine that just sits on the desk
or will i actually use it for digital painting

how much time do i have
how many things do i want to do

a dream of doing a video of the full moon in the clouds — very colorful — a rapidly moving psychedelic display —

the full moon yesterday evening

finishing the house vs living —
or as living

resist the temptation to buy a new computer — wait until i have more organized ideas —

maybe buy video of lumia shows
also there is one of belson’s things i should get

i still like ‘lumia’ art and the idea of light art — but one doesn’t look at them long and they have the problem of aging and breaking down — TV now offers a much better medium —
something about the difficulty of looking at abstract video — paying attention and not paying attention —
also the differences between sequences that are fixed (video) and things that are more random (lumia) — computer things can be random but have to be fixed to transfer to the TV>

film — printing and copying — how much changes — loss or gain ? — 'decasia' as a gain from a loss —

the computer can easily make similar changes — (can one get old films that are public domain — what is the copyright on film?)
