a pinterest image of some rusty thing —
i don’t know if the colors are altered or what size it is — it could also be art —
not as a photograph but it could be a painting —
although i’m not sure if someone could paint that well —
everything can shift — scale color even what something ‘is’ —
the ‘is’ can be questioned or called into question —
i always like photo micrographs or microphotographs —
now there are digital microscopes so everything can be seen in detail —
(google art project and m bradford art site) everything ‘reduced’ to the screen —
but it’s not a reduction — (homogenization?) — i like this shift —
(not sure if ‘civilization’ will last long enough for it to take the ‘position’ of ‘art’
integration - disintegration
repurposing — depurposing is what i prefer — to take the purpose out of things —
reduction production
—
i have a digital microscope in mind and i’ll probably get one but not now — i’ll have a lot of photo material next month — (feel better about the trip after talking to larry and thinking about it in different ways (but i’ll need to increase my clonazepam))
practice photography —
(the infinity project — take a photograph and make hundreds of variations — crops scales color shifts filtration —)
photograph my collections to get ready to photograph others —
mind shifts — glas comes ‘up’ from ‘somewhere’ — the use of text —
the time it took to make it — the difficulty of something that’s trivial now
juxtaposition (eisenman ‘comes to mind’ — from somewhere — linked to derrida —
(grids - juxtaposed superimposed (what is eisenman’s term)))
take painting and ‘explore’ it — using photography — alter the colors —
look at it more ‘closely then is possible ‘using the eye’
metaphors of seeing
a large ‘art work’ made form old ceiling tiles behind me — jen’s red painting
(we should hang the green one near the red one — maybe one above the other
(it doesn’t have a good (what) for hanging)
