took video of the hall display — the infinity of these little pieces of wood as I zoom in and out on them — changing forms — the vaginal form of the carved wood piece — the beauty of the peach tree piece that I haven’t liked very much

do I want to put all of these pieces in one box and put them away — the idea of the collection or the grouping as object — on the other hand I like the idea of things that float from piece to piece — that may be part of one artwork at one time or some arrangement some other time — a jewelry display or used in a miniature landscape or something

what can’t be justified artistically are the wood carvings but as I look around the house now, they are my favorite works — I have the desire but not the ambition to do some more of them — thinking the past few days of the firewood series that I started and that I should poke a few holes through the pieces and let some of them lie down instead of all being flat — on the other hand a set of firewood pieces as a set — small carvings that stand upright — might also be nice

maybe I’ll put a few of them up in Saranac scattered around the floor

a sort of meditation on my work — the way the lens shifts things — seeing the world through a lens etc — the idea of video meditations — a sort of relaxation tape that isn’t really that

thinking that I’m using this storyspace program but not using it right — not making the links etc which is what the thing is all about — just writing space after space — but it’s time to start collecting ideas
