the idea of just making art for oneself that is not commercial or whatever — but where would one see the art that is necessary for learning etc —
some aside to the art system (in the Luminous Code book the use of << >> to mark out words for whatever — I had an immediate dislike for it but then realized that it is actually a lot better then quote marks which sit above the line and really indicate something else — so it’s probably a good mark to use
some aside to the art <<system>> — (but doesn’t the whole line call itself into question — call for mark(s/ing) (what is a good mark for that structure (all of this should be realigned (but that brings up the subject of writing vs what is written))) <<some>> <aside> <to> <the> <art> <system>
different methods of questioning or marking — the <<the>> could be emphasized or something —
but it is the system that I’m interested in here — a system of galleries selling art with galleries and museums as the main viewing spaces and galleries as the primary place for learning about art first hand
but a lot of artists work in outside places so the media are also a key ingredient

so where was I going here

one views the arts as presented by the system and then goes home to make art for oneself — things that one wants in the house — but then there are quickly too many things and they have to be discarded — which goes against something — is that innate or cultural — possibly that is one of the main things about art and art markets
this overabundance of things — and the fact that most people don’t really want to make art but want something decorative or whatever (compare with fetish type things and art in other cultural settings) — but is an aside such as the one that I’ve been pursuing viable — obviously I’ve been doing it — it’s also growing old or whatever but I still have the impulse — am still considering making art even though I don’t really believe that there is an outlet or a place to sell it
