music — looking back to rock etc — listening back — things come into focus again — some go out — maybe someday i’ll like them again — some i don’t know why i ever liked —

lossy compression — what state or info is the music — what is lost — how do we hear what’s ‘real’ — analog has a lot of noise and is inconvenient — not worth the investment or trouble for me — even if it’s more accurate — i don’t really notice the losses of MP3 but for some reason i want all the digits —
the number of numbers it takes to make a CD —
